Katy Perry joins the Marine Corps in her new video for "Part Of Me," which she recently released.
In the video, Perry breaks up with her boyfriend, shreds off her hair and signs up for the Marines.
The break-up song features lyrics, like "You chewed me up and spit me out / Like I was poison in your mouth / You took my light, you drained me down / That was then and this is now."
"Part Of Me" was debuted by Perry at the Grammys, right after she broke it off with her ex-husband Russell Brand. Many thought the track was about Brand, but Perry has outwardly denied the song is about him. She says she wrote the song two years ago.
Perry said, "Some people that I work with were like, 'You should just say you wrote it a couple of weeks ago.' I'm like, 'I'm not a d***, I'm going to tell the truth.'"
