Lionel Richie moved more than 20,000 copies of his Tuskegee album in one hour on the Home Shopping Network earlier this week.

"They have a clock and watching it is like watching the stock market," Universal Music Nashville VP of Marketing Tom Lord said at the time. "You can see the wave of orders coming in."

Industry sources predict that, given fan interest, the album could move up to 100,000 units by the end of the week. The event, titled "HSN LIVE Presents Lionel Richie sponsored by Cricket," was preceded and followed by special programming on the network's Facebook page, including more performances by Richie and an interview with Kenny Rogers.

The album includes guest appearances from some of country music's biggest names, including Rascal Flatts, Shania Twain, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton and Willie Nelson.
