White Stripes Releasing Two Early Singles For Record Store Day

The White Stripes have announced that they will release two new tracks, "Handsprings" and "Red Death at 6:14," to celebrate Record Store Day on April 21.

The songs, released through Jack White's Third Man Records label, are featured on a special edition red and black vinyl disc.

Record Store Day was founded in 2007 by Eric Levin, Michael Kurtz, Carrie Colliton, Amy Dorfman, Don Van Cleave and Brian Poehner.

It is celebrated globally with artists making special appearances, performances and meet and greets, while labels offer unique one-off vinyl and CD releases and other promo products on the day.

More than 200 groups from all genres and corners of the world will contribute music which will be released exclusively in independent record shops.
