Chris Rock To Induct Red Hot Chili Peppers Into Hall Of Fame

Comedian Chris Rock has been tapped to induct the Red Hot Chili Peppers into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rock is said to be good friends with the band members and has even directed one of their videos.

Other presenters include Public Enemy's Chuck D (for the Beastie Boys), John Mellencamp (Donovan), Bette Midler (Laura Nyro) and Steven van Zandt (for the Small Faces/Faces).

Robbie Robertson will welcome producers Tom Dowd, Glyn Johns and Cosimo Matassa into the Hall, while Smokey Robinson fronts a tribute to legendary backing groups, including the Miracles.

The Hall of Fame's induction ceremony will be held at Public Hall in Cleveland on April 14; it will be broadcast on HBO on May 5.
