Damon Albarn has made a career of doing one-off collaborations with other big name musicians. The singer/producers says that, while there is something special about doing such projects, expectations have to be modified due to the commitments that big name stars always have.

"I do genuinely like working with people but at the same time I don't expect it to work, and there have been a lot of people who's a lot of things don't happen," Albarn told NME.

Albarn then revealed an unbelievable collaboration that almost happened: him, David Bowie, and Ray Davies.

"I mean, for about 24 hours, many years ago, I was making a record with David Bowie and Ray Davies. But that only lasted 24 hours."

"That was a long time ago," Albarn continued. "It's not news, and it's certainly not the case any more."
