Earnings Watch For March 28 (FDO, MOS, PAYX, RHT)

Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (FDO) will post its quarterly results before the market opens today. For the second quarter, the retail discounter is expected to report earnings of $1.13 per share versus $0.98 per share a year ago, on revenues of $2.46 billion. FDO closed Tuesday at $58.24. (The stock up about 14% in Q2; MA(50)- $56.11; MA(100)- $56.71; 52-wk H/L $60.53/$44.42)

Fertilizer giant Mosaic Co. (MOS) is due to report third-quarter results after the market closes. The company is anticipated to record revenues of $2.54 billion. On Tuesday, the shares closed trade at $58.58. (The stock rose almost 3% in Q3; MA(50)- $56.42; MA(100)- $54.55; 52-wk H/L $83.41/$44.86)

Payroll processor Paychex, Inc. (PAYX) is scheduled to report results for the third quarter after the market closes. Quarterly earnings are expected to rise to $0.37 per share from $0.36 per share posted a year ago, with revenues estimated at $568.86 million. The stock closed Tuesday at $32.10. (The stock gained nearly 15% in Q3; MA(50)- $31.67; MA(100)- $30.57; 52-wk H/L $33.71/$25.12)

Red Hat, Inc. (RHT) is slated to report results for the fourth quarter. The company is expected to earn $0.27 per share on revenues of $291.22 million. Earnings and revenue for the year-ago quarter were $0.26 per share and $244.80 million respectively. RHT closed Tuesday's session at $51.90. (The stock dropped around 2% in Q4; MA(50)- $49.01 MA(100)- $47.80; 52-wk H/L $54.01/$31.77)

Commercial Metals Co. (CMC), Jos. A. Bank Clothiers, Inc. (JOSB), Progress Software Corp. (PRGS), H. B. Fuller Co. (FUL) and Resources Connection, Inc. (RECN) are also expected to report their results today.
