Cape CEO Martin May Resigns - Quick Facts

Cape plc (CIU.L) noted that Martin May is today resigning as Chief Executive and as a director of the company with immediate effect to pursue a new challenge. Meanwhile, Brendan Connolly has been appointed as acting Chief Executive with immediate effect.

Connolly has been a Non-Executive Director of the company since 2011.

The nomination committee has commenced a search for a replacement and a permanent appointment will be made in due course.

Agricultural products giant Monsanto Co. on Wednesday reported a nearly 18 percent increase in profit for the third quarter from last year, reflecting strong sales growth in the agricultural productivity segment and a lower tax provision. Under the deal, Philips will commence a tender offer to buy Spectranetics for $38.50 per share, to be paid in cash upon completion. The implied enterprise value is approximately 1.9 billion euros.
