Following previous news of their split, Peter Facinelli has officially filed for divorce from his wife, ex-"90210" star Jennie Garth. According to People.com, Facinelli filed the paperwork in a Los Angeles Superior Court citing "irreconcilable differences."
Garth has opened up about the split and says she was not prepared to be on her own:
"You get the rug pulled from under you. I have no landscape of what my future will look like, where before I had something that I can count on."
Facinelli has reportedly requested joint custody of the couple's three children-- Luca, 14, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 5.
The split comes at a busy time for both Facinelli and Garth. Jennie's new reality series "Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country" premieres April 20 on CMT and Facinelli's latest season on "Nurse Jackie" debuts April 8.
