IHS Inc. (IHS) said Thursday that it has acquired BDW Automotive GmbH, a developer of information and planning systems and intelligent processing of vehicle databases for the automotive industry, for about $8 million.
As a specialized service provider to the automotive industry, BDW Automotive supports leading manufacturers, suppliers, service providers and financial companies worldwide in the development of new sales potential, the optimization of production capacities, and the reorganization of sales networks through state-of-the-art information technology systems, forecasting and consulting services.
BDW Automotive is headquartered in Leverkusen, Germany and employs 24 people.
