Steel Magnolia have reportedly overcome breakup rumors and are currently working on a new album.
During a recent interview with CMT, Joshua Scott Jones dodged questions about his personal relationship with bandmate Meghan Linsey, but says new music is in the works:
"We've had a long, beautiful relationship together, and that's going to continue on. We're really excited about the [new] music."
Jones and Linsey announced their engagement last year but then left their record label Big Machine last fall amidst rumors that they had split up.
The new songs follow a round of rehab for Jones, and he says the turmoil has helped shape the album:
"I think it's going to be heartfelt. I think a lot of that will come through on the record. We want people to know another side of us and share that with the fans."
