A leading indicator of economic activity in Switzerland moved to positive territory for the first time this year in March, suggesting that economic growth may turn positive in year-on-year terms.
The KOF Economic Barometer reached 0.08 in March compared to a revised -0.11 in February and -0.15 in January. Economists expected an improvement to 0.07.
The latest outcome indicates that "over the coming months Swiss Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is likely to expand slightly on a year-on-year basis," KOF said.
