Slovenia Inflation Eases In March

Slovenia's consumer price inflation slowed in March, after accelerating in the previous month, data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Friday.

The consumer price index increased 2.3 percent annually, after rising 2.9 percent in February. The figure dropped for the first time in three months.

Month-on-month, prices advanced 1.0 percent, after rising 0.6 percent in February. The latest gain is the biggest since March 2011, when prices rose 1.6 percent on a monthly basis.

The harmonized index of consumer prices, measured for EU comparison purposes, advanced 2.4 percent annually in March, following 2.8 percent rise in February. The index increased a percent on a monthly basis, after falling 0.3 percent in February.
