Williams (WMB) said it has priced a public offering of 26.0 million common shares at $30.59 per share. Also, the company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to buy up to an additional 3.90 million shares. The offering may close on April 4, 2012.
Williams plans to use the net proceeds from the offering to purchase additional Williams Partners L.P. (WPZ) common units in connection with the financing of the acquisition by Williams Partners L.P. of Caiman Eastern Midstream, LLC that was already announced.
Barclays, Citigroup, UBS Investment Bank, Deutsche Bank Securities and J.P. Morgan are acting as joint book-running managers.
