Czech M2 Money Supply Growth Quickens In February

Czech Republic's M2 money supply increased at a faster rate in February, data released by the Czech National Bank showed Friday.

The M2 money supply grew 6.8 percent on an annual basis in February, faster than the 6 percent growth recorded in January. In December, money supply advanced 5.3 percent year-on-year.

At the same time, the M1 or narrow money supply increased at a faster rate of 8.3 percent in February than the previous month's 7.8 percent growth.

The central bank said that loans to Czech businesses and households grew 5.3 percent year-on-year in February, after rising 5.4 percent in the previous month.
