In the Studio, a syndicated radio show broadcast on over 50 stations across North America, helped Foreigner celebrate the 35th anniversary of their debut album with front man Mick Jones.
Show host Redbeard spoke with Jones on the band's early days and coming to America from England:
"Originally I had come over to America because I felt, in a funny way, that somehow I was destined to be here . . . It was like Mecca . . . I had to come here . . . (it's) musical heritage had started me off . . . I had to prove something here."
Foreigner have also been added to the list of headliners for this year's Riverbend Music Festival in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The rock giants will hit the fest's Coca-Cola stage on Saturday, June 9, 2012. The festival runs between June 8 and 16.
