Lindsay Lohan has been released from the formal probation stemming from her 2007 DUI case. The news was handed down by Judge Stephanie Sautner, who warned Lohan that it's time to turn her life around.

"She has completed [her sentencing] short of a year. She has done everything that this court has asked of her," Sautner said before the court.

She added a few words of wisdom for the troubled star:

"You need to live your life in a more mature way," Sautner said. "Stop the nightclubbing and focus on your work. I don't expect to see you again. It's not that hard [to stay out of trouble]," Sautner added. "I know it's hard when you have people following you all over the place, but that's the life you chose."

Lohan now faces the remainder of her informal probation for necklace theft case, which ends in May.

"I just want to say thank you for being fair," Lindsay told the judge. "It's opened a lot of doors for me, so I really appreciate it."
