Fox has confirmed that their long-running procedural "Bones" will return for another new season next year. This will mark the eighth season for the show, which had a brief hiatus mid-season this year when lead actress Emily Deschanel had a baby.
"Over the past seven seasons, [series creator] Hart Hanson, [writer] Stephen Nathan and the incredible Bones cast and crew have redefined the traditional crime procedural with an irreverent and adventurous sensibility," said Fox Entertainment president Kevin Reilly.
The show returns from hiatus in a new night and time (Mondays at 8 pm) next week.
"I'm really happy to have this distinctive fan favorite on our schedule for another season," Reilly adds.
