Jack White has released a new track from his debut solo album via helium balloon. A video, accessible through YouTube, depicts the Third Man label head releasing balloons with flexi-disc records attached to them.
The records feature the track, "Freedom at 21," the third single from Blunderbuss.
The balloons were accompanied by custom postcards with instructions for the finder to submit photos and notify the label of where they discovered the disc. According to http://thirdmanrecords.com/balloon the label, "approximately 10%" of the records have been found.
White also recently released a music video for his debut single, "Love Interruption," which sees him working with singer Ruby Amanfu, who provides backing vocals, Emily Bowland on bass clarinet and Brooke Waggoner on Wurlitzer electric piano.
Blunderbuss is due April 24.
