Though Adele maintains that the follow-up to her mega-smash album 21 will not be released for at least two years, she has confirmed that at least one new song will come out in 2012.
During a recent radio interview in France, the soul star said the release will all depend on how long it takes to write the new album.
"There will be a new song, probably coming out at the end of the year. But then it depends how quickly I write some other new songs," she revealed in the interview.
When asked directly how long fans can expect to wait for a new album, Adele responded: "It won't be for a good two years."
The interviewer responded that fans would love to have something before then, to which she explained: "Yeah, but I have to write it! It takes a while."
