Romania's retail sales increased in February, data from the National Institute of Statistics showed Tuesday.
Retail sales turnover excluding sales of automobiles increased a seasonally and working-day adjusted 3.0 percent annually in February.
Sales of food, beverages and tobacco rose 7.2 percent annually, while sales of auto fuels in specialized stores edged down 0.1 percent. Food product sales decreased 0.9 percent annually in February.
On an unadjusted basis, retail sales grew 1.3 percent from a year ago.
Month-on-month, retail sales decreased a seasonally and working-day adjusted 2.5 percent in February. However, on an unadjusted basis, sales declined 1.7 percent during the month.
