Eurozone Retail Sales Decline In February

Eurozone retail sales declined in February, but at a slower-than-expected pace, data from Eurostat showed Wednesday.

Retail sales fell 0.1 percent month-on-month in February, following a 1.1 percent rise in January. Economists were expecting sales to dip 0.2 percent.

On a yearly basis, retail sales fell 2.1 percent compared to January's 1.1 percent decline. Economists were looking for an annual decrease of 1.1 percent.
