Air Canada (AC_A.TO, AC_B.TO) reported that system traffic for the month of March 2012 increased 4.8 per cent on a system-wide capacity increase of 2.2 per cent.
The airline said its March 2012 system traffic rose 4.8% to 4.62 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 4.41 billion RPMs in the same period last year.
The airline's March 2012 system capacity was 5.67 billion available seat miles or ASMs, up 2.2% from 5.55 billion ASMs in the prior year period.
System load factor was 81.5 per cent, versus 79.5 per cent in March 2011, an increase of 2.0 percentage points.
