As expected, the Bank of England maintained its interest rate rate at 0.050 percent. Following the announcement, the pound changed little against its major counterparts.
Presently, the pound is trading at 1.5824 against the greenback, 129.69 against the yen, 1.4553 against the franc and 0.8262 against the euro.
