After receiving the presidential daily briefing and having lunch with Vice President Joe Biden, President Barack Obama is scheduled to sign the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act in a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden on Thursday.

The Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act, or JOBS Act, is designed to make it easier for small companies to obtain capital without getting in trouble with strict federal regulations.

The White House said the legislation includes key initiatives Obama proposed last fall to help small businesses and startups grow and create jobs.

Later in the day, Obama will host a screening of "To Kill a Mockingbird," which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

USA Network is due to air a limited-commercial presentation of "To Kill a Mockingbird" Saturday evening with an introductory message from the President.

Following the movie screening, Obama is scheduled to attend two separate Washington, D.C. campaign events at the Jefferson Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental.
