John Lewis Of Hunger (JLH.L) announced that financial results for the six-month period Ended 29 February 2012. Loss on ordinary activities after taxation for the period widened to GBP 244 thousand from GBP 146 thousand in the year ago period. Loss per share for the period was 0.13 pence, compared to a loss of 0.12 pence in the prior year.

Turnover for the period declined to GBP 2.46 million from GBP 2.72 million in the prior year period.

Stocks moved sharply higher over the course of the trading day on Friday, more than offsetting the weakness seen on Thursday. While the IRS targeting scandal has taken center stage on Capitol Hill on Friday, the results of a new Gallup poll showed that the American public's interest in the story is comparatively low based on historical measures. The poll showed that 54 percent of Americans are following the news that the IRS targeted conservative groups for greater scrutiny "very" or "somewhat" closely.
