Bono And The Edge Invest In Dropbox

Bono and The Edge of U2 have invested in the internet storage service, Dropbox. The partnership was announced via Twitter where a picture of the pair with founding members of the service, Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi.

"Dropbox is excited to welcome Bono & The Edge as investors. Thanks for the support and look forward to great things!" the company tweeted without making public the amount invested by the musicians.

Dropbox allows users to store documents, photos and video in the cloud with the first 2Gb free. After exceeding that limit users then pay $10 a month for up to 50Gb and $20 a month for 100Gb in storage.

Others to invest in the company are Goldman Sachs, Greylock Partners, Benchmark Capital, Institutional Venture Partners, RIT Capital Partners and Valiant Capital Partners.

Bono's firm, Elevation Partners, has invested heavily in the tech sector with concerns in Palm, Yelp and Facebook.
