The ex-boyfriend and inspiration to Adele's blockbuster album, 21, has been rumored to be a fashion photographer by the name of Alex Sturrock. Adele, who has been adamant regarding the secrecy of his identity, did not confirm the rumor.
But, according to Heat magazine, Adele and Sturrock were romantically linked between the summer of 2008 and spring of 2009. She began work on 21 shortly thereafter.
"It was an intense period for them. They met through mutual friends and hit it off straight away. He shot her a few times and that was just it. They spent all their time together - and when they weren't together they would ring each other constantly," a source told the magazine.
However, Adele was "hurt" by the fact that Sturrock would not call her his girlfriend: ". . . Alex didn't want to label what they had."
