Czech Feb. Trade Surplus Falls

The Czech trade surplus declined to CZK 28.65 billion in February from CZK 29.28 billion in January, the Czech Statistical Office showed Friday.

Exports and imports increased by 15.2 percent and 8.8 percent on a year-on-year basis, respectively. On a monthly basis, seasonally adjusted exports rose 0.6 percent and imports gained 1 percent.

During January to February, exports and imports rose by 13.7 percent and 8.3 percent, respectively. The trade surplus totaled CZK 57.9 billion, which was up by CZK 26.5 billion from a year ago.
