French Jan-Feb Budget Gap Declines

The French budget deficit declined to EUR 24.2 billion during the first two months of 2012 from around EUR 28 billion in the previous year, the budget ministry said Friday.

Spending totaled EUR 63.6 billion, up from EUR 57 billion a year earlier. Likewise, revenue rose to EUR 45.4 billion from EUR 40.2 billion.
