Chesapeake Utilities Corp. (CPK) on Friday said its natural gas marketing subsidiary, Peninsula Energy Services Company, Inc., or PESCO, has been selected by the Board of County Commissioners of Miami-Dade County to provide natural gas supply to the Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department's water processing plants in Miami and Hialeah, Florida.

The Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department is the largest water utility in the Southeast United States, and serves 2.2 million customers each day.

Jack Langer, spokesperson for the Water & Sewer Department, said, "This new agreement provides an economical and reliable supply of natural gas to the Water Department for a period of five years."
