Fibrek Inc. (FBK.TO) announced that Mercer International Inc. has extended the expiry date of its superior offer to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Fibrek to April 16, 2012.
Fibrek said its board has recommended shareholders to reject and not tender their common shares to Abitibi's $1.00 unsolicited insider bid.
