Keith Olbermann fired back at his former employer Current TV after being laid off last week.
The progressive media company, owned by former Vice President Al Gore, fired the former MSNBC host for "material serial breach of contract." Olbermann is now suing for a reported $70 million dollars.
"After being enticed to leave MSNBC and come to Current with the promise of editorial control, freedom from corporate influence and the professional support to produce a high-caliber political commentary show of the type viewers have come to expect, Keith Olbermann was disheartened to discover Al Gore, Joel Hyatt and the management of Current are no more than dilettantes portraying entertainment industry executives," Olbermann's suit stated.
Reports broke earlier this week that Olbermann had repeatedly butted heads with the network over their use of car services.
"Current went through eight different [limo] companies with Keith. Each and every time . . . he didn't like them," a network insider tells foxnews.com.
"One time it was that the drivers talked to him, he did not like that the driver saw fit to speak to him. The other time he complained that the driver smelled."
Olbermann filed his suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday.
