Young the Giant sat down with MTV to discuss their recent rise in popularity. The California band had some surprising things to say when asked what was different now that they've "made it."
"Making it was the fact that we're now on a tour, that we have a crew," bandmember Payam Doostzadeh explained. Like many acts that have yet to establish themselves, Young the Giant had to be their own roadies early on in their career.
They also don't have to travel the country in an old van anymore. One of the perks of making it is getting a cushy tour bus, which they scored following the release of their self-titled debut album.
The band has earned it though, in the past year alone they have had a number of noteworthy things happen, including a performance at MTV's Video Music Awards.
So what's next for the now successful band?
"I don't think any of us have a plan. I don't think we even know what's gonna happen in the next year. That's what makes it exciting for us," stated lead singer Sameer Gadhia.
