Afghanistan government has agreed with the U.S. to reach deal for regulating controversial night raids by American forces, reports said Sunday.
The deal, which gives Afghan government greater control of night raids, is expected to sign today. Under the deal, Afghan judges will be permitted to review the operations and determine whether to hold detainees after the raid.
The deal comes ahead of the planned departure of U.S. and other foreign troops from Afghanistan in 2014.
