Power generation and transmission firm Alstom (T&D) India Ltd. has won a product package order worth Rs.74 crore from Jyoti Structures Ltd. for supplying equipment to the state-run Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. or PGCIL's 765kV substation projects located in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh and Nellore in Andhra Pradesh
The French firm's Indian subsidiary will supply products including circuit breakers, disconnectors, instrument transformers, current transformers and capacitive voltage transformers for several 765/400kV substations.
Alstom T&D India Managing Director Rathin Basu said, "Alstom T&D India is a market leader in India in extra and ultra high voltage (EHV) transmission products. This order further strengthens our leadership position in the development of EHV switchgear products, a technology field that is transforming the power transfer capacity of the country."
At the BSE, Alstom (T&D) India closed Monday's trading at Rs.179.40, down 1.27 percent from the previous close.
