MagicJack VocalTec Issues Q1 Forecast - Quick Facts

MagicJack VocalTec, Ltd. (CALL) said it expects revenue, net income and earnings per share for the first quarter of 2012 to be approximately $37.4 million, $7.8 million and $0.37 respectively, before any adjustments. Excluding adjustments, the company expects to earn around $0.26 per share.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.13 per share on revenues of $35.67 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Further, the company said it plans to resume its share buyback program. Also, MagicJack VocalTec confirmed that longtime director Gerald Vento has been appointed as chairman.

With traders taking a breather following the recent upward move by the markets, stocks are turning in a lackluster performance during trading on Wednesday.
