The first track from Joey Ramone's upcoming solo album, …Ya know?, hit the web Friday.
The posthumous record titled "Rock 'N Roll is the Answer" was unveiled at spinner.com and is due in stores on April 21. The track is a nod to 80s AC/DC-era arena rock, a style never embraced by the Ramones.
…Ya Know? will feature 15 tracks of B-sides and demos assembled by Joey's brother Mickey Leigh and producer Ed Stadium.
Among the guest stars appearing on the record are Joan Jett, Steven van Zandt, Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick, and Patti Smith Group guitarist Lenny Kaye.
Joey Ramone died in 2001 of lymphoma cancer.
