Cornerstone Closes Sonar6 Acquisition

Software solutions company Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD: Quote) said Monday it has completed the acquisition of Sonar Limited, or Sonar6.

Sonar6, a cloud-based talent management solutions serving small businesses globally, brings more than 375 clients to Cornerstone and expands its presence in the Asia Pacific region.

Sonar6 will be rebranded as a Cornerstone solution specific for small businesses and will be operated out of Sonar6's Auckland, New Zealand headquarters.

Cornerstone and Sonar6 will not integrate their products. Sonar6 will remain separate to preserve Cornerstone's 100 percent originally developed solution for enterprise and mid-market clients.

Cisco Results Top Estimates

Cisco Systems, Inc., the world's largest computer networking gear maker, said Wednesday after the markets closed that its third quarter profit rose 14.5% from last year, helped by higher sales and a tax benefit. The company's quarterly earnings per share, excluding items, also came in above analysts' expectations as did its quarterly sales.
