Denmark's consumer price inflation slowed modestly in March, data released by Statistics Denmark showed Tuesday.
The consumer price index increased 2.7 percent on an annual basis in March, following the previous month's 2.8 percent growth.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages climbed 5.2 percent annually, while clothing and footwear prices advanced 3.6 percent. There was a 3.1 percent year-on-year increase in housing costs during the month, and a 2.8 percent rise in prices in the transportation sector.
Compared to February, the consumer price index moved up 0.5 percent in March, the agency said.
At the same time, the harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) increased 2.7 percent annually in March, unchanged from the growth recorded in February. Month-on-month, the HICP moved up 06 percent.
