Selena Gomez has confirmed that she will star in The Getaway alongside Ethan Hawke. The Getaway is a remake of the 1972 action thriller starring Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw.
"It's really, really exciting," Gomez said in a YouTube interview with fans. "I go to Bulgaria and then I start filming. It's more of an action movie, which is different."
The multi-talented star also said that she will begin work on a new album in the near future.
"I'll start working on my fourth album, which will be the best album I'll ever do! But I'm just kind of halting music for a bit."
The 19-year-old singer's last album, 2011's When the Sun Goes Down peaked at number three on the Billboard 200.
