Danish Industrial Output Drops In February

Denmark's industrial production decreased from the previous month in February, data released by Statistics Denmark showed Wednesday.

Production in the Danish industrial sector decreased a seasonally adjusted 1 percent month-on-month in February.

There was a 1.9 percent sequential decline in the production of intermediate goods during the month, and a 4.3 percent fall in investment goods output. Meanwhile, production of non-durable consumer goods climbed 3.9 percent month-on-month, and output of durable consumer goods advanced 3.8 percent.

In the three months ended February, production increased a seasonally adjusted 1.5 percent from the the preceding three-month period.

At the same time, industrial turnover fell 3.8 percent month-on-month in February, while new orders received by Danish companies decreased 5.1 percent, the agency said.
