Nicki Minaj's latest album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, debuted atop the Billboard 200, moving 253,000 units in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The album did not, however, live up to the sales of its predecessor, Pink Friday, which sold 375,000 copies in its first week.

Sales, which modestly outperformed predictions, were driven in part by the first official single, "Starships," which currently sits at number five on the Billboard Hot 100.

Roman Reloaded knocked MDNA, Madonna's latest, out of the one spot, which it occupied for only one week. Madonna sold 359,000 in her debut week but dropped precipitously in her second week, selling only 48,000.

Adele's 21 was in the two spot (153,000), Rascal Flatts' Changed came in third (130,000), Tuskegee from Lionel Richie was fourth (95,000) and One Direction's Up All Night rounded out the top five (92,000).
