In an interview with U.K.'s The Guardian, Damon Albarn said both his groups, Blur and Gorillaz, are finished.

Aside from Blur's upcoming performance at the 2012 Olympic closing ceremony, the group has no further plans, he said.

"And I hope that's the truth: that that's how we end it," he added.

"I don't know: you can write scripts, and they always end up going...well, one thing I've learned, and I'm sure you're exactly the same, is that everything I think I've got totally sorted out, and I know exactly what's going to happen - it never works out that way."

Regarding Gorillaz, Albarn says he and the group's co-creator Jamie Hewlett are no longer on speaking terms.
