India's largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. launched its utility vehicle 'Ertiga' in New Delhi on Thursday at an introductory price ranging between Rs.5.89 lakh and Rs.8.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi.).
Ertiga will come in both petrol and diesel versions. With this car, the company has introduced its K-14 VVT 1.4 litre petrol engine in India. Maruti has termed it to be Life Utility Vehicle (LUV).
The petrol variant of Ertiga LXi is prices at Rs.5.89 lakh, while Ertiga Vxi and Ertiga Zxi is priced at Rs.6.60 lakh and Rs.7.30 lakh, respectively.
The diesel variation of Ertiga LDi is priced at Rs.7.30 lakh, whereas Ertiga VDi and Ertiga ZDi is tagged at Rs.7.90 lakh and Rs.8.45 lakh, respectively.
The petrol variant is powered with all new powerful K-Series, 1373cc VVT (K14B) engine, while diesel variant is powered by the highly acclaimed 1248cc DDiS VGT engine.
At the BSE, Maruti Suzuki India shares are currently trading at Rs.1,307.05, up 2.69 percent from the previous close.
