Croatia's producer price inflation slowed in March, data released by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics showed Thursday.
The producer price index increased 5.4 percent on an annual basis in March, after rising 5.8 percent in the previous month.
Intermediate goods prices rose 1.1 percent annually during the month, while energy prices climbed 16.5 percent. There was a 0.5 percent annual increase in durable consumer goods prices, and a 3.5 percent growth in prices of non-durable consumer goods.
Output prices of goods sold in the domestic market rose 6.2 percent year-on-year, following the previous month's 6.3 percent gain. At the same time, prices of products meant for the foreign market rose 3.8 percent in March.
On a monthly basis, the producer price index moved up 0.7 percent in March, the agency said.
Separately, the statistical office said Croatia's retail sales volume, in real terms, decreased 2.1 percent month-on-month in March. Year-on-year retail sales advanced 1.1 percent during the month.
In value terms, retail trade decreased 1.3 percent sequentially, while they moved up 3 percent on an annual basis.
