Ricki Lake tied the knot with her boyfriend Christian Evans in a secret ceremony in southern California earlier this week. Speaking with people.com, the 43-year-old talk show host opened up about eloping and says she wasn't sure she'd ever remarry.
"It was a beautiful moment I will never forget. I wasn't anxious or nervous. I was really relaxed and excited," Lake explained of her big day with Evans, who is 40.
Ricki was previously married to Rob Sussman and the pair split in 2003. They share two children and she says that after the divorce, marriage wasn't a top priority.
"I didn't think it would happen at this point in my life," says Lake.
After meeting Evans, however, Ricki says she knew she was ready to try again: "We just clicked," she adds. "It just feels like he was the right one all along."
