Akon was featured on the most recent episode of VH1's Behind the Music. During the program, the singer reflected on several topics including fame and Lady Gaga's career.
He said fame is two-sided, which he realized when he was caught humping an underage girl in a club:
"I'm sitting in a 21 and older club. I never thought she was younger than 21 . . . And for a minor to go through an ordeal like that, especially with someone she looked up to, it made her dream become a nightmare."
"Gaga became the biggest success story in my history of music," noted Akon who helped Lady G get famous. "More than anything I was happy that I stuck with it and we believed in it together."
Akon's latest, Stadium, is due September 13.
