Consumer price inflation in Slovakia remained unchanged in March, data released by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Friday.
The consumer price index increased 3.8 percent on an annual basis in March, unchanged from the growth recorded in February. In January, prices increased 3.9 percent year-on-year.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices advanced 3.7 percent annually, while clothing and footwear prices moved up 1.9 percent. There was a 4.5 percent annual growth in housing costs and utility prices during the month, and an 8.3 percent rise in transportation costs.
On a monthly basis, consumer pries increased at a faster rate of 0.3 percent in March than February's 0.2 percent rise. In the January-March period, consumer prices advanced 3.8 percent from the same period last year, the agency said.
