Showtime is reportedly developing a new series that will spin-off of their long-running original series "Californication." That show stars David Duchovny and will return for its sixth season sometime in early 2013.
According to a report from craveonline.com the sixth season will find Duchovny's character Hank Moody linking up with a new character named Faith, who could also be expanding into her own series in the future. The site adds that Faith will appear in nine episodes of the new season and is described as "quite religious."
Producers describe her character as "what happens when an innocent young Catholic school girl is exposed to the evils of rock and roll and falls heads over heels in love with the music and the men who make it."
The site also reports that Faith's extended arc on season six of "Californication" could serve as a test period to see how fans react to the new character.
