Green Day is set to release a trilogy of new albums: the first, Uno!, September 25, the second, Dos!, November 13 and the third, Tre!, January 15, announced lead man Billie Joe Armstrong on Twitter:

"Ok. Here's the deal. We're making a 3 album trilogy. Not 1. Not 2. But 3 albums. Called ¡UNO! ¡DOS! ¡TRE! Coming September November January."

The trifecta, produced by Rob Cavallo, is the follow-up to 21st Century Breakdown. He says the albums are going to sound big:

"It takes balls to do this, each hit of every instrument is actually super important, they add up to one thing. When you get it done, it's like 'Wow, that's a big powerful statement.'"

"We are at the most prolific and creative time in our lives," Green Day added in a statement. "This is the best music we've ever written, and the songs just keep coming."
